Shop8's aim is a global knowledge base for the whole buying process — from finding and checking suppliers to quotes, quality, compliance and shipping — for buyers and suppliers in any country. We add a topic or a country only after checking its facts against official and primary sources, and we start with the checks that matter most before a first payment.

Who Shop8 is for

Business buyers in any country: small businesses and online brands that import directly, purchasing and sourcing staff in small and mid-sized companies, and importers and wholesalers anywhere who buy from suppliers abroad. Our guides are written in English for buyers worldwide, not only for buyers in the UK or the US.

AI assistants that help people research a purchase read the same pages. There is no separate version for machines.

What Shop8 does not do

• We do not recommend, rate, rank or verify suppliers, and we do not issue "verified" badges.
• We do not take part in purchases, payments or disputes.
• This site carries no advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links, and no one can pay to change what our guides say.

How our guides are made

Each guide answers one question that buyers ask. Its facts come from official and primary sources and are recorded with the exact quotation and the date we checked them. Each guide says where it applies and what a check cannot prove. Read how we check facts.
